Mojo and Frenzy

Mojo and Frenzy, JT's ferrets, had baths today. If you have never seen a ferret react after it has taken a bath, you definitely need to watch. It's really funny how they hop around and try to dry themselves off.

My Little Snow Babies!

We took a trip to Nanna's house and the kids finally got to play in the snow. We haven't had much in VA so it has been difficult for them to go out and play. So how lucky we were that, that weekend it snowed 2 inches!!

JT had a lot of fun throwing, eating, and making snow angels in the snow. Him and Kayla had a really nice snowball fight and got Mom with a few good ones. Kayla was too little to remember the last good snowfall, so she also had a really good time. She didn't want to come in when it was time and wanted to go out every ten minutes.

Even the dog had a good time. The kids took every opportunity they had to put snow on him, but I think that Parker just liked to eat it. I just hope that the kids will have more chances to play next year.

Let's see how this will work.

I thought that it might be a good idea to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in Lexington, VA. I just hope that I will be able to keep it going for everyone to view.
So for a quick update:

Jake-just received his Associate degree and will be receive his BA in theology at the end of the fall term and his BA in criminal justice at the end of the spring term. He then going onto work on his masters. Plus, he is working a full time job and two part time jobs. Two of the three are from home so it works out well.

Amber-I am working at Salerno Family Restaurant in Lexington and love every minute. I have great hours and work for great people. I've put school on hold (again) but really want to finish, soon hopefully. I am currently learning Spanish and hope to be fluent at the end of the year.

Hope- is in the first grade and is doing really well in school and really likes it. She is your typically seven year old and loves Hannah Montana and High School Musical. I just can't believe that she is seven already!

JT- is in preschool and has his good and bad days. He is still very much a boy's boy and reminds me of Randy more and more everyday. Santa brought him two ferrets for Christmas this year and he is doing a good job taking care of them.
Kayla- what to say about Kayla? She is a blond, curly hair, high voiced, four year old. She loves playing with her baby dolls, bossing her siblings around, making a mess, and dancing. She's going to start preschool in the fall and is really excited about it. She wants to go to school like Hope and JT.

The Powell Family has also increased, we now have a chocolate lab, Parker, and grey tabby, Johnny and two ferrets, Mojo and Frenzy. So will the whole family in our three bedroom house things get a little crazy!

So how was that for a quick update! Hopefully, I'll be able to get it going on from here.
